Chiranjeevi, who merged his prajarajyam party into congress last week, gave an exclusive interview to ABN Andhrajyothy channel yesterday where he tried to explain the reason behind merger and his reaction on reactions.
When Radhakrishna asked about the fans position after the merger, Chiru replied like this – “usually, all fans identify with me but they are not united amongst themselves. Each town has own group of fans and they think differently. But I never used them for politics.
As such I didn’t have time to guide them since I was trying to find a place for myself in politics.
Official merging will take about 45 days and will be done in a huge public meeting near guntur or vijayawada in march.Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi will attend the meeting.Calling me as congress leader now is like changing surname after marriage..” said chiru.
Next biggest challenge for him is by-elections in kadapa and pulivendula where he is expected to reduce Jagan’s effect.
