Chiranjeevi in delhi to meet Prime Minister today


Prajarajyam party president K Chiranjeevi is leaving for Delhi on Tuesday to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and renew his appeal to bestow national project status on Polavaram project.
Chiranjeevi, who would be accompanied by party leaders C Ramachandraiah and Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao, is expected to urge Singh to take an early decision on Polavaram project keeping in view the interests of the farmers. The appointment with the Prime Minister has been scheduled at 5.30 pm.  The PRP chief has already written a letter to the Prime Minister and met UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi seeking her good offices to get clearances at the earliest to make the project a reality.
He would also call on Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar seeking additional support to flood-affected people due to the recent floods. He is also expected to meet Union water resources minister Pawan Kumar Bansal
