Geetha Arts owner and producer Allu Aravind felicitated national award winners who worked for Magadheera movie, produced under his banner.Choreographer Siva Shankar and Visual Effects Supervisor RC Kamalakannan were honoured on this occassion. Director S.S.Rajamouli was also present at this function. Speaking on the occasion, director Rajamouli said, “Shiva Shankar master has been in the industry for over four decades and has risen to where he is now. Indeed, it is a matter of deep regret that a person of such talent, skill and achievement did not get the recognition he richly deserved until this film. Choreography is not about speed, complex steps and raunchy gyrations. You need to capture the mood and emote. Shiva Shankar master does just that.”
Rajamouli had kind words for Kamalakannan as well. “If it wasn’t for the visual effects department, the film would not have been made at all. Art director Ravinder and cameraman KK Senthil Kumar too have worked meticulously,” he added.Producer Allu Aravind said, “Art director Ravinder deserved an award too for his efforts but he couldn’t make it for some reason. Rudraveena, which was produced by our sister concern Anjana Productions, won two National Awards in 1988. Magadheera is only the second Telugu film to achieve that feat. We at Geetha Arts are extremely happy and proud of this achievement.”
