Chiranjeevi happy with Telangana party cader

Chiranjeevi is a happy man these days following renewed interest from cadre in Telangana, in the wake of their latest stand that they would abide by any decision announced by the five-member Srikrishna Committee.

The PRP cadre had distanced themselves from the party after Chiranjeevi told the Srikrishna Committee that they were in support of a unified state. A few important leaders from Telangana who played a key role in strengthening the fledgling party had joined TRS, while most others returned to TDP saying PRP had nothing significant to do in the Telangana region due to rising support from the masses in support of statehood to the region.

A member of the party’s political affairs committee (PAC) said the news has been received with renewed vigour by the party’s think-tank, forcing it to redraw strategies to build the party once again from scratch in the region. The party sees this as a significant development, especially after the recently concluded Praja Chaitanya yatra, where Chiranjeevi continued to draw huge crowds and succeeded in creating awareness among a cross-section of the society on various issues during his tour to Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa.

“We have been receiving queries from young people, both men and women, about the party’s future plans for Telangana. Some of them were keen to be part of a fresh exercise to rebuild the party in Telangana districts. Though we did not take up the matter seriously in the initial days, we have decided to discuss the matter elaborately in the party forum.

As part of the initiative, the party president will interact with a few leaders from Telangana and hear them personally on Tuesday before announcing the party’s agenda for the region. This meeting is a new beginning for the party, especially after the December 9 crisis,

” the PAC member said.During the two-hour meeting with party seniors and a few leaders from Telangana on Tuesday, Chiranjeevi is expected to have a first-hand feedback from Telangana leaders about the party’s prospects in the region and also evolve means to reach out to more young people in the region within a short span.

The party is also likely to take a final call on the scheduled tour to Khammam in Telangana region by the party president.Meanwhile, the political affairs committee is busy finalizing the agenda for the two-day party plenary, which would be held in Visakhapatnam during the last week of this month.
