PRP chief and tirupati MLA, K.Chiranjeevi felt that Andhra Pradesh state assembly is not functioning as much as it should and is useless now.None of the issues related to people’s problems are being taken up there and most of the time is wasted in useless arguments.Chiranjeevi said he was in favour of taking up issues in the midst of people instead of raising them in the assembly. He said that he had arrived at this conclusion because his dharna at Polavaram project led the state and central governments to speed up the works.
“Peoples problems are not being ignored in the assembly. Both TD and Congress use the assembly to settle scores and gain mileage in the media. Their target is to hit banner slot in the newspapers next day” Chiranjeevi said while addressing a road show at Kavali.
Even while leveling several charges against the government, he said that he would support Congress in case of political turmoil in that party to prevent elections and burden on the people.He justified his stand under the plea that even party’s like CPM supported Congress at national level.He claimed that he is not interested in CM post and people would elect his party if they want to see him as CM.
